No treatment today due to Boston trip

Alrighty,

Being the good husband I am, I deferred treatment until Friday in order to take my wife to Boston for the Red Sox Parade. Fun was had by all, even though I am an Orioles fan :) As long as the Yankees didn't win, that's all that counts.

hi,
I have been reading your informative posts. my husband has hodgkin's stage1A. This was his second treatment today and his white blood count today was 2.5 (before his first treatment it was 6.1) and they almost didn't give him his abvd treatment. they rushed his blood tests to his doctor and he gave the go ahead to do it. I noticed you have a graft but you had wbc 2700 on it for your second treatment. does that mean it's was 2.7? your blog is really helpful. thanks, and keep the blog going.

Hi. I like your style. I'm going to add you to my list on my blog.

By the way, I love your xray! I wonder what I would have to do to get mine? They x rayed my port a several times.

Gayle,

So my chart isn't exactly precise. I have an earlier post that described that I went in and it was around 1600 or so. They didn't do the treatment then and waiting 5 days. They also dropped the dosage about 8%. Even with that, I still come in around 1400 to 1700. But they have decided to stay away from the Nuelasta-type stuff for fear of pulmonary embolisms. If I get fevers or get sick, they will treat me at that time.

Please feel free to e-mail me direct at jonathan.redden@twcable.com with any other questions you may have.

Hope you hubby does well.

Jon

Jon I'm so friggin' pissed at you for not letting me know of your visit... okay I'm done now, I'm not really mad :) But I a lil sad that you were soooo close, I didn't get to meet you. I know you'll be back, afterall, the Mrs. has family here still --- so when you come back, you let me know, and maybe you'll be done killing cancer by then and we can have some beers...sound good!? Oh and you can come in June to our anti-hodge bonanza if you want... they'll be at least 10 hodge killers - even folks from Scotland will be coming! We haven't planned much more than that, but really that's all you need to know -COME!

I'm glad you left me a message today, I've been meaning to email you for a few weeks because I haven't heard much from you these days... but you beat me to the punch!!

Hope you're feeling fabulous! Good luck with chemo on Friday!!

XO
